How to get tea stains out of cups

Kensington Cleaners: See our tip of the day

In most cases, washing up liquid would suffice.
However, if you’re dealing with stubborn tea stains, you can follow these steps:
-Mix equal parts bicarbonate of soda and vinegar until you create a paste. Apply a thick layer of the paste onto the stained area.
-Let the paste sit on the cup or mug for about an hour.
-Take an old toothbrush and use it to scrub the stain and paste off the cup. If the paste gets too dry, you can sprinkle a bit of water on it.
-Once the tea stain has loosened, scrub the cup under cold, running water to rinse off the dirt and the bicarbonate of soda paste.
